The eight blessed are “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5:10

Everlasting peace

When the peacemakers present the gospel, many will feel condemned and start persecuting them for the open true and blunt speaking about Jesus as the only way to avoid the judgement and finally the lake of fire. Who dare speak the gospel truth to people, even to your own family? Only peacemakers can do that with the love of Jesus, the peacemakers can give you the everlasting peace of God in your heart, they can make you sleep well at night and getting up in the morning with the happy Spirit of Jesus to fill the day with love, forgiveness and prosperity.

One hundred times more

Did Jesus promise His disciples persecution? Yes He did, in Mark 10:29 we find it, Jesus promises those who work for Him, great blessings but also persecutions; “Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News, 30 but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life””.

Of a contrite spirit

Also Isaiah is writing about those poor in spirit and of a contrite heart, those who are being persecuting for presenting Jesus Christ as God and man, the only way to be saved from the prison of sin and from eternal perdition.

Isaiah 57:15 “15 For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says:
“I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite

Isaiah 66:2 “For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says Yahweh: “but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.”

Yaweh will dwell with them

Look at this; the first blessed are and the last, the eight will both receive, inherit the same, The Kingdom of Heaven. Looks like the Kingdom of Heaven is the ultimate goal of blessings for the poor in spirit and those being persecuted for the righteousness sake. They have a contrite heart, a repenting heart, and Yahweh will dwell with them in the high and holy place when He is with them on earth with His Holy Spirit. The kingdom of Heaven, the kingdom of God belongs to those with a contrite heart, those who this world is trying to kill and get rid of.
