ASV notes on Genesis 4:25-26

Adam knew his wife and she became pregnant. This word “to know” is used in the Bible to describe an intimate relation between man and woman in marriage. In John 17:3 the word is used by Jesus to give the definition of eternal life and, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God, and [in the same manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent.”

Trough Jesus we can be spiritual intimate with God in a daily personal relationship, like man and wife that love each other and enjoy being together.

Set had a son and called him Enosh, meaning mortal man, at that time they realised that they were mortal and needed God more than ever and started to worship God calling on His name. God had and has a name; “YAHAWAH” that was His name from the beginning.

Most of the translations are using the Word LORD for the name of God. LORD is not a name, it is a title and you don’t have a personal relation with someone using the title to the person. If you talk to your wife or your husband you don’t keep the distance using titles. God is Lord, He is the one that are lording, but His Name is YHWH. And with the vowel “A” it becomes; YAHAWAH.
